The new 2010-2011 Hyundai Tucson is an excellent vehicle for someone who loves to do things in the mountains of Colorado. I personally bought one May 1st of this year and absoleutely love it! I am part of the 14er communtiy so I take my Tucson to the mountains regularely. This vehicle has gone above and beyond what I figured it would be capable of. That being said I figured the Tucson would be able to do everything I wanted however it's done that and then some! Now for those of you that aren't familiar with 14er's, a lot of the trail heads you have to get to are very steep and require a good clearence AWD/4WD vehicle to get there. The Tucson gives you all of this plus several other standard features. The Tucson has an AWD lock button so you know that AWD is engaged when you want it to be. It comes equipped with XM Radio for 90 days (w/ options to subscribe after that) so when you're out in the bush you will still be able to get your favorite radio stations, not to mention the usb/aux IPOD cable hook up as standard equipment as well so you can take your mp3 player along for the ride. Another great feature I found very helpful was the uphill start assist and the downhill assist function. Going uphill it prevents you from rolling backwards prior to pressing the gas pedal and the downhill assist keeps you going at a slow speed down very steep grades so that you don't have to ride your brakes the entire way down the trail. If you are in the market for a new vehicle and find yourself in the mountains often I recommend you stop on by the McDonald Hyundai and talk to Matt Deck regarding the Hyundai Tucson. I will give you the respect you deserve, a no pressure attitude, and a great buying experience.

Looking at the new Hyundai promotion, I think that Hyundai has really hit the nail on the head. Let people talk about the Hyundai in a natural setting and you will see what all of us as dealers are hearing everyday.
The videos are obviously real people giving real opinions on what they think about Hyundai.
I myself was a strong supporter of Honda before coming to work for a Hyundai store, and if Hyundai had not released the Genesis I would of never even considered them.
Once my eyes were opened to the award winning quality and well just how attractive their look and pricing were..I knew that Hyundai was a winner.

First Drive: 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo
Artificial Intelligence: Naturally Aspirated V-6? Nah, Says Hyundai.
July 13, 2010
/ By Ron Kiino
Hyundai is saying goodbye to the six-cylinder Sonata. For 2011, Korea's stylish family hauler receives a new 2.0-liter direct-injected turbocharged I-4 that generates better-than-V-6 numbers -- 274 horsepower at 6000 rpm, 269 pound-feet of torque at 1750, and 22/34 mpg city/highway estimated fuel economy. For context, the 2010 Sonata's 3.3-liter V-6 put out 249 horsepower at 6000, 229 pound-feet at 4500, and 19/29 mpg, while the 2011 Toyota Camry's stout 3.5-liter six delivers 269 horsepower at 6200, 248 pound-feet at 4700, and 19/28 mpg. Just as notable is the 2.0T's overall weight savings compared to the aforementioned six-cylinder cars -- both the 2010 Sonata V-6 and 2011 Camry SE V-6 weigh around 3500 pounds, meaning the 2011 Sonata 2.0T tips the scales with as much as 150 fewer pounds.
Being free of that unnecessary weight helps the Sonata 2.0T produce not only its frugal fuel-econ figures (not even the 2950-pound, 2.0-liter Honda Civic Si sedan, at 21/29 mpg, can match them) but also brisk acceleration times. With 17.4 psi of maximum boost coming from a Mitsubishi twin-scroll turbocharger, the Sonata's new 2.0-liter feels V-6-quick, and should have no problem bettering Hyundai's 0-to-60 estimate of 6.5 seconds (it'll need to, as the Camry SE V-6 blazes to 60 in just 6.1).
The Sonata's mill utilizes the same aluminum block as the Genesis Coupe's 2.0-liter turbo, but boasts reinforced pistons and connecting rods, a new cylinder head (for the direct injection), a slightly higher compression ratio (9.5:1 vs. 9.4:1), a twin-scroll rather than single-scroll turbo, and, most notable, a compact balance shaft module that vastly improves engine NVH, especially with the pedal to the metal. Whereas the Genesis's 2.0T can be buzzy and unrefined at WOT, the Sonata's is euphonious and polished. And if you're worried about the reliability of a turbo, consider this: Hyundai subjected the 2.0T to 300 continuous hours of WOT testing, followed by double and triple bogeys (20 hours each of additional WOT above redline).

At McDonald Hyundai in Littleton Colorado, there was a recent trade in of a Camero SS. I drove the Camero SS thinking that the V8 was going to be the right vehicle for me, with the image of American muscle cruising down the street I initally thought it was going to be a no brainer for me, this is the second time in my life I was wrong. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track with the 6 speed at McDonald Hyundai in Littleton Colorado is a far superior product to any sports car on the road. The vehicle not only produces over well over 300 hp, naturally aspirated, it is a vehicle that has propelled Rhys Millen Racing to establish a world record at the pikes peak hill climb. The vehicle in every sense is the best choice when it comes to choosing the next sports car. What I enjoyed the most was how unavailable the Genesis Coupe in Littleton Colorado is. Everywhere you look you see just another boring American sports car driving down the road, but a true sports car is harder to come by. The 3.8 Genesis Coupe Track at McDonald Hyundai is the best choice when it comes to sports cars.

Josh,
The Sonata is beautiful! I definitely made the right choice in selecting this vehicle. I looked at the Accord, Malibu and Altima. There is not anything that compares to this car for the money. I love the smooth ride and the interior is very roomy. While driving, I cant help but notice how quiet the car is.
It was a true pleasure in dealing with McDonald Hyundai. Matt, yourself and John were all very accommodating to my requests from obtaining the car to all the paperwork and most importantly, the negotiated price. I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the fees associated with the lease. What is important is the fact you stuck to your word and that means everything to me. I will refer anyone I know who may be interested in purchasing a new or used vehicle your way.
Take care,
Jeff

Can the Hyundai Genesis Coupe replace the Corvette???

A few weeks ago, I took a 1993 Corvette with the Greenwood package in on trade. The most amazing thing about this car is the fact that it is sitting with three thousand four hundred sixty three original miles (3463). We all can remember our youth and wanting a Corvette for its sleek style, power and handling. But yet a middle aged gentleman handed me the keys to this unique car and proudly drove away in the 3.8 liter Hyundai Genesis Coupe. He was a little nervous at first trading a Corvette in for a Hyundai?
I have talked to my client several times since the transaction and each time I can hear the love he has for the Genesis Coupe in his voice grow more and more. He has described each one of his drives through the Colorado's mountains with great enthusiasm. Even the way he describes the power of the Genesis is enough to paint a picture in your mind of this car just pretty much flying down the road. I have listened to him talk about being right outside of Denver on some of the more open two lane highways and just letting the power of the Genesis go, only slowing down to glide through the curves. I guess at least in Denver with our terrain, driving a Genesis Coupe is more fun than a Corvette, because I'm betting this fellow is about ready to pass the miles it took him seventeen years to put on the corvette. So all I can say to him is enjoy the Genesis Coupe and watch out for the Colorado State patrol!
